Legend has it that long ago, on the seabed off the coast of Calpe, there lived a large colony of mermaids who swam placidly in crystal-clear waters, full of colourful fish. These mermaids helped the fishermen by singing to attract the fish. However, one day, a genie began to chase them and, without their song, the fishermen's catches dwindled. Desperate, they asked Neptune for help. The enraged god of the sea chased the genie until, cornered, he tried to escape by emerging from the sea. It was then that Neptune petrified him, turning him into the imposing Peñón de Ifach, and the mermaids were able to sing again.
They say that it is rare to have the privilege of living inland but with views of the sea, and that if you can also hear the song of the mermaids, you will be happy forever.
This is how the story of our OASIS house begins, located on the edge of the town centre, next to a Mediterranean pine forest with unbeatable views of the Peñón de Ifach. An OASIS house is not just a building; since ancient times, a house has been a refuge and protection. Our architect, María Jesús Mora, together with her INLAND team (houses with soul), has created a space designed to promote physical and emotional well-being.

OASIS is located on a sloping plot of 1,079 m² with an excellent southeast orientation. Its respectful design adapts to the terrain, minimizing earthworks and dialoguing with the surrounding landscape. In addition, a specialist in Geobiology and Radiesthesia has guaranteed the absence of geopathies through a geobiological study.
The house, designed in an L-shape, makes the most of the space within the plot. One wing has two floors and the other only one, all rooms enjoy south or east orientation, with magnificent views of the sea and the Mediterranean forest.
Integrated into the slope, from the center of the plot two levels are perceived, while from the highest adjoining level, it looks like a single-story house. This L-shaped design embraces the plot, creating an open space that merges with the adjoining rustic landscape. Although it is on urban land, it offers the feeling of living in a natural environment with sea views.
OASIS is a contemporary Mediterranean home that combines the latest technological advances with a design in harmony with the local culture and landscape. The natural light and shadows cast by its Mediterranean porches invite you to enjoy the surroundings. The outdoor spaces will be experienced as an extension of the house for much of the year.
The heart of the house is located in the east wing of the ground floor: a kitchen with views of the garden and pool, the dining room and a living room with a fireplace. All these spaces are connected to the outside by light, cane-covered porches, typical of the Mediterranean.
In the south wing, on the ground floor, there is a spacious living room that opens both to the outside and to an English patio, providing exceptional cross ventilation and a rich spatial variety. This well of light also illuminates a multifunctional space that can be used as a music room, gym, games room or a personalized area according to the owner's dream.
From the main living room you can access the master suite, which is separated from the rest of the bedrooms on the upper floor. This suite has an attractive layout, where the dressing room and bathroom are connected in a circular fashion, without having to go through the sleeping area. However, the most charming detail is its private access to a covered terrace with a Mediterranean porch, from where you can enjoy the views of the pine forest and the sea.
